In 1929 Yazaki pioneered the wiring harness, and we have been leading the way ever since.

A vehicle's wire harness is similar to the spinal cord found within the body — distributing electricity and information throughout the vehicle to other components.

The foundation of a Yazaki wire harness is a custom-engineered power and data network solution that performs efficiently and reliably. By designing and producing all aspects of the harness — from wire to connectors — we are able to achieve total control over quality and performance.

Our wiring harnesses are engineered with minimal splices, maximum integrity, and built-in efficiency, plus our wire harnesses arrive in custom packaging that positions the harness for a more efficient install during vehicle assembly.

We continually strive to improve our wire harnesses, with recent innovations in:

• Thin-wire designs that save weight and space
  • 0.13mm2 ISO Metric wire to replace 0.5 & 0.35mm2 wires in low current applications
  • Ultra-thin wall insulation on compressed conductor wire to replace thin-wall insulated standard copper conductor wire
• Aluminum Wire
  • Weight savings for Battery Cables
  • Weight savings for EV/HEV High Voltage Power Cables
  • Use of Ultra-thin insulation on a compressed Al conductor provides weight savings within the same packaging envelop as a thin-wall standard copper conductor for several sizes of primary wire
